The Solution
for all your custom fabricated parts

You will be Delighted with the Results when Precision Cutting Service Produces Your Petrochemical Gaskets

Precision Cutting Service manufactures custom gaskets for the Petrochemical Industry, and we have been doing so for more than 25 years. Our gaskets have a proven track record of superior performance for rigs, refineries, storage tanks, pipelines, pumps and processing plants throughout the United States.

No two gasket applications are exactly the same, and this is especially true for the petrochemical industry. So it helps to have the experts at Precision Cutting Service on your side. They know what types of gaskets—and what gasket materials—work best for each application, and they know how to cut those gaskets so that they perform as well or better than you expect.

Understanding Petrochemical Gaskets

The custom gaskets Precision Cutting Service produces differ from pre-made or generic gaskets in that they are precisely cut to perfectly fit each unique application, thereby minimizing—frankly, eliminating—fluid and gas leaks. This is especially important when dealing with toxic or hazardous material that, if leaked, could spark disastrous consequences.

Gasket Material is a Critical Component

The Precision Cutting Service team understands that the material used to make gaskets is as important as the gaskets themselves, which is why we work with all types of gasket materials. Oil resistance, temperature, pressure, media and flange type are determining factors.

  • PTFE (TeflonTM) — A non-stick, flexible, and chemical resistant material that is often used for sealing liquid gas or other fluids.
  • Neoprene — A good general-purpose rubber generally used with crude oil. Neoprene ages well and is one of the more economical rubber options.
  • Cork Combined with an elastomer binding, cork affords high flexibility and compression, and is typically used in applications involving oil and fuel.
  • Silicone — Good for submersion applications and can accommodate wide temperature ranges (-67°F to 392°F).
  • Nitrile (Buna N) — Offers exceptional oil and fuel resistance with good tensile strength and is commonly used in storage tanks.
  • DuPont VitonTMResistant to refined fuel and handles extreme temperatures well (-20F to 440F).
  • Non-Asbestos — Typically made from CNAF (Compresses Non-Asbestos Fiber) and generally used for low pressure, low temperature applications.

Other materials, such as metal, can be used for petrochemical gaskets and to discover these and their applications, contact Precision Cutting Service today!

Precision Cutting Service Will Design or Replicate and Ship Nationwide.

Our knowledgeable team will work with you to design a custom gasket for your petrochemical application, based on the flange type and size, and the media, temperature and pressure inside the pipe, pump or tank. We can also replicate existing gaskets that need to be replaced. Simply send us a CAD file, technical drawing, tracing or an actual part that we can reverse-engineer and we’ll take it from there. If you need a prototype or sample first, we’ll happily do that, too.

We have customers just like you throughout the United States, and we can usually ship your custom gaskets within days of receiving your order.
